The human body is a marvellous creation of nature. Our body constitutes of 206 different bones integrated to utmost perfection. These bones are connected seamlessly at different joints which enable our body to move and perform different activities. These joints are greased by a thin, flexible tissue called cartilage which is responsible for facilitating smooth movement and shock absorption.

Osteoarthritis Osteoarthritis comes from the amalgamation of two words, “osteo” that refers to bones and “arthritis” indicates painful inflammation and stiffness of joints. It is a chronic condition that gradually worsens over time. Among 100 different types of arthritis, osteoarthritis is the most common form characterized by the breakdown and eventual loss of cartilage. This loss of cartilage results in friction between the joint's resulting in abnormalities causing discomfort, pain, and inflammation. Although osteoarthritis may target any joint in the body, it is most commonly manifested in the joints of hands, knees, hips, and spine. The most common indications of osteoarthritis include pain, tenderness, stiffness, bone spurs, and loss of flexibility.
