Whether you have oily, dry, or combination skin, rose water works wonder on your skin. From antioxidants to anti-aging, rose water is an amazing beauty product aimed to give you radiant skin and reduce aging signs. It also helps maintain the skin’s pH balance, and control excess oil.

Ayurvedic perspective on rose water

Ayurvedic texts mention rose water as it balances Sadhaka Pitta, a type of Pitta that governs emotions and its effect on the heart. Rosewater not only soothes the skin but also balances the mind, and enhances the coordination between Sadhaka Pitta and Prana Vata. According to Ayurveda, rose water is cooling, yet it enhances agni, the digestive fire. Hence, it balances all the three doshas.

Put 2 to 3 drops of rose water on a cotton ball and remove all makeup, dirt, and grit from your skin. Rosewater with glycerine and essential oils work as an effective cleanser.
