Dhanwantaram Gulika is a multi-purpose ayurvedic tablet useful in the treatment of asthma, hiccups, cough, digestive illness, gastritis and flatulence amongst others. It is described in the ayurvedic text called Sahasrayogam. It is named after Lord Dhanwantri, the celestial physician signifying the wide range of benefits one can obtain by the intake of Dhanwantaram tablets.

The Gulika helps improve respiration, digestion and circulation. It acts on Vata element of Tridosas and improves breathing quality which in turns help improve the digestion process thus enhancing one’s appetite and this in turn results in enhancement of blood and nutrients circulation leading to overall health and wellbeing.

PRECAUTIONS

1.       Dhanwantaram Gulika is not recommended for people with bleeding disorders

2.       It is not advisable for people with dry mouth

3.       Though advocated for Women who gave birth, the tablet is not recommended for pregnant women. Pregnant women shall consume it only and only after consulting a physician.

4.       Consumption of Dhanwantaram Gulika is to be stopped two weeks prior to surgery and two weeks after.

DOSAGE

It is advisable to give a maximum of 50-100 mg per day for children and up to 200 mg for adults. The ancient texts recommend the consumption of the tablet with warm water boiled with cumin.
