Monsoon is the time when our hair health can be under threat. It is important to work on our diet regime and improve immunity to prevent hair loss due to monsoon. In this article, we will have a look at the foods which are a must to improve our hair in the monsoon season.

The monsoons are already here, the humidity it brings along can make your scalp very oily forcing you to go on a hair wash more often and thus leading to loss of moisture in the scalp and hair. When moisture is lost in the scalp, it will result in dandruff, hair fall, and duller hair texture. Following a diet regime targeted at improving one’s hair health can help combat this condition.

These are the major foods which can help improve hair health in monsoon season

ALOE VERA JUICE

Aloe Vera has alkaline properties that will help balance the pH level of our hair. It is also rich in anti-oxidants and has proteolytic enzymes which repairs damaged skin cells in the scalp and improves your hair growth.

Aloe Vera juice can be taken as a drink as per ayurvedic recommendations or applied topically on the hair.

HALIM SEEDS

Halim seeds or Garden Cress seeds are an excellent source of vitamin A, B9, and C. They are also a strong source of iron, which improves blood circulation and are indicated to treat hair fall, especially the seasonal monsoon hair fall which might also be due to reduced blood circulation.

Halim seeds can be consumed with milk at night. They can also be made into ladoos rolled with coconut grating and ghee.

FENUGREEK SEEDS
